Now, re-chartered as a National/Federated Club under the GOProud umbrella, Sunshine Republicans-GOProud is looking ahead for years of success and dedication to the GOP and future elections. With the National Chartering from GOProud, Sunshine Republicans becomes one of three clubs (Broward Women’s Federated Club and the Broward Young Republicans) that do not need a Broward Republican Executive Committee Charter.
After the conception in 2009, Sunshine Republicans played a dramatic role in GOP outreach to the Miami-Dade GLBT community and contributed to more Gay voters pulling the lever for Republicans than Democrats.
The Bullards are still at the helm of the Sunshine Republicans-GOProud. Benjamin Bullard will serve as Founder/President, Karen Harrington will serve as Vice-President, Ginger Eisenrod as Treasurer, Richard Glisson as Secretary and Ron Bullard as an Officer.
We are improving our day-to-day operations. Broward County has many GLBT and GLBT Republican Allies that make this county large enough for more than one GLBT Club.
