A petition has been tabled in the South Australian parliament calling for rainbow flags to be banned from public buildings.

The petition signed by just over 100 people calls on the government to “restrict councils or other organisations from displaying a rainbow flag or any other design of a rainbow as a symbol of homosexuality”.

The petition was tabled by Liberal backbencher Michael Pengilly, the Member for Finniss.
