After a long process finally the Norwegian underwear manufacturer selling panties under the trademark Comfyballs has been approved in the U.S. But only if there is no physical "balls" in the picture.

Comfyballs

Over two years, entrepreneur Anders Selvig has worked to be able to sell underwear from his own brand Comfyballs to Americans. Now he has finally got an approval with the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). But it was only after he applied for federal trademark protection for lingerie Comfyballs got the approval.

As long as it’s not actually “balls” in the picture, it was too vulgar for Americans, says Selvig to E24.

When he first applied for trademark protection for the boxers from Comfyballs, he got a fifty page reply letter back from USPTO. Here it was, according to Selvig, including pointed out that such brands wouldn’t be warmly greeted by “Concerned moms of America” in the United States according to Norwegian news site E24.no.
