Tuesday last week Suma was attacked when she was sitting and waiting for the subway on the way home from RFSL meeting (Swedens LGBTQ organisation).

Homophobia

When she went to the subway station at Rådmansgatan a group of men approached her.

“They pushed me out onto the subway platform, where they was beating and kicking me,” says Suma to QX. A security guard at the subway station  describing the event as “full fight”.

They scolded me in Arabic. They said they intended to harm me and my mother was a whore, and they spit on my face.

Suma asked the men to leave her alone and even witnesses on the subway shouted to the men to stop the transphobic attack.

When the subway train arrived at the Stockholm Central Station the men putted me out of the cart where they became more and more aggressive.  I got a panic attack, I screamed and tried to push them away.

After a while the police arrived at the scene. Only one of the man was arrested of suspicion of assault and harassment, and the other men sadly got away from the scene.
