Following four gay men in Singapore, “People Like Us” is a poignant reflection and insightful look into the lives of Joel, Ridzwan, Rai, and Isaac navigating lust, love and life.

People Like Us

Filmmaker Leon Cheo has just released the first season of his new web series, People Like Us, across all Here TV platforms. Co-developed with Action for AIDS Singapore, the first season of Cheo’s series follows the lives of Joel, Ridzwan, Rai and Isaac: four gay men living in Singapore whose lives interconnect in eye-opening ways.

The 48 minute season is a compelling look into gay life in a city-state where homosexuality is technically illegal, but the laws are rarely enforced.

People Like Us” is now available everywhere on the Here TV network, including major cable providers (Comcast, AT&T, Time Warner, FiOS, Charter and more) and Here TV premium channels on YouTube, Amazon Prime and more.

“People Like Us” has screened at festivals around the world, including NYC Web Fest, Rio Web Fest, Roma Web Fest, and ITVFest, where the first season took home the award for Best Short Drama. “People Like Us” has been nominated for five awards at the 8th Annual Indie Series Awards: Best Web Series – Drama, Best Directing – Drama (Leon Cheo), Best Supporting Actor – Drama (Steven Lim), Best Cinematography (Looi Wan Ping), and Best Editing (Christopher Datugan).
