Apicha Community Health Center will usher in a new era in its nearly 30-year  history when it officially opens expanded operations at 400 Broadway in the Chinatown-Tribeca area on Wednesday, June 14 from 8 AM to 10:15 AM.

Apicha CEO Therese R. Rodriguez will gather with staff, elected officials and community members for an official ribbon cutting ceremony, unveiling the facility’s new state of the art ground floor and lower level space that adds to the organisation’s current fourth floor operations.

The expansion more than doubles the number of exam rooms and counselling rooms at the centre, allowing Apicha to serve even more of its core constituency including Asians and Pacific Islanders, the LGBTQ community, individuals living with and affected by HIV/AIDS, and many other underserved and vulnerable New Yorkers, many of whom are immigrants. The beautiful new facility includes 7 new exam rooms at street level, 5 private rooms for other services and an on-site pharmacy on the lower level.

“This renovation has created a spacious new environment where patients can focus on their physical, mental and spiritual selves,” said Apicha CEO Therese R. Rodriguez. “These vastly improved surroundings will undoubtedly enhance the health and wellbeing of all those we serve.”
