Naked Highway’s latest summertime offering ‘Pyro’ is a return to form for the group - an upbeat, almost humorous take on the traditional pop breakup song, complete with funky slap bass over electronic beats & strong vocal harmonies.

Think Chromeo, Hot Chip & LCD Soundsystem in a blender with Chic & Depeche Mode.

Stylistically, Pyro is an indication of things to come from Naked Highway  – a sparse, more focused and accessible sound. “Much of our new material is song-focused – back to basics with an emphasis on vocal harmonies,” says group founder Sy Boccari.

The self-directed music video gives further insight to the lighter side of Naked Highway. “Our last three music video were a little dark,” says Boccari “…so it was important for us to come back to the light and dance a little more!  Even Dave’s puppies get some camera time.  Stylistically, we wanted to do a modern take on The Police’s iconic ‘Roxanne’ video & Kraftwerk’s Man Machine album cover. Red, black & white – a sort of happier version of the Black Lodge from Twin Peaks!”

The duo’s previous single Call Girlsreceived radio airplay across the USA and Europe & debuted at #37 on the iTunes Dance Chart. Naked Highway’s production work is in continuous demand, creating remixes for a diverse array of acts such as Calling All Astronauts, Fischerspooner & current RuPaul’s Drag Race contestant Peppermint. The group recently worked with Bloomingdale’s to created music for the company’s iconic holiday window displays.
