The Seagulls faithful have long been the subject of derogatory chants and taunts due to the city’s large gay population.
Now Brighton and Hove Albion Supporters’ Club (BHASC), with the help of the Gay Football Supporters’ Network (GSFN), have lodged a report to the Football Association on the matter.
The document claims Albion fans have suffered homophobic abuse at at least 57 per cent of their matches this season.
