"I might be gay. But I am not a foggot. Got it?" With these words, Peter defends himself towards his class mate Chris. This guy is already tipsy and calls Peter a "faggot" which leads to unexpected consequences.

Lovely Faggot

The short film “Lovely Fagott” treats the topic of homophobia and coming out.

It was produced in an international summer-camp for young queers in Iceland. “Looking out of my window every morning, I saw this dreamlike scenery in which the film plays”, says Falk Steinborn about his inspiration.

The media coach from Germany created the film with young LGBT from different countries: the actors from Germany and Finland, the camera operator (Van de Blur), the composer () and sound operator (Pieter de Witt) from Netherlands.

To make the film accessible to people all over the world, it has been translated by volunteers from Brasilia to Finland.

“It’s the first film that queerblick shows with such a variety of languages”, says Falk Steinborn. The reason why: the videos of queerblick are watched 400.000 times every month from people all of the world.

Germans, U.S-americans and Mexican are leading audience. With the different subtitles the 11.000 subscribers to the channel should get the chance to understand the film at first sight.
