McDonald's have told Newsbeat a security guard responsible for stopping two men kissing in one of their restaurants will never work for them again.

Matthew Dummigan was giving another man a “peck on the lips” when he was told to stop by a member of staff at a branch in Leicester.

The guard said the pair were making other customers “feel uncomfortable”.

When Matthew asked the bouncer if it would be OK for a man and women to kiss on the premises, the security guard replied “yes”.

“It’s not acceptable. I’ve been out and accepted for who I am since I was 16, ” Matthew told Newsbeat.
