Westboro Baptist Church plans protest in Coronado
The Westboro Baptist Church may be backing off plans to protest at memorials for the Arizona shooting victims, but the controversial group is now coming to Coronado. The issue: a play based on a hate crime against a gay student (The Laramie Project).

Call to Reinstate “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” if Elected President Dangerous, Costly
The Human Rights Campaign, America’s largest civil rights organisation dedicated to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender equality, today rebuked comments made by presidential aspirant Tim Pawlenty that he would reinstate “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” if elected president. Based upon an interview conducted with Pawlenty by the American Family Association, an organisation designated as a “hate group,” it’s unclear whether the former Minnesota governor understands the potentially dangerous ramifications of his comments.

The Black Party Expo & Bazaar Is Back!
On March 18, 2011, The Saint At Large, the New York-based organisation behind the notorious fetish-oriented Black Party®, swaggers back to The Roseland Ballroom to present the second annual BPX: The Black Party® Expo, benefiting The LGBT Center. Due to the success of last year’s debut, the expo has been expanded to two days and will take place on March 18 and 19.
GLAAD, Thousands of Americans Urge Media to Pay Tribute to Victims and Keep Hate Off the Airwaves
The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) today called on the nationally syndicated Mike Gallagher Show, KXXT-AM in Tolleson, Arizona, and CFNY-FM, 102.1 “The Edge” in Toronto to rescind their offers to reward the Westboro Baptist Church with airtime.
