Canadian Blood Services says it’s not yet softening its ban on blood from gay men, despite media reports to the contrary. But a group representing gay and lesbian Canadians said they want to see the change now.

Today the Human Rights Campaign, America’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender civil rights organisation, reacted to the President’s State of the Union address in which he announced that open service by gays, lesbians and bisexuals in the U.S. Armed Forces would begin this year.
