Roommate charged with hate crime in case of gay student who killed self after alleged webcam broadcast
A former Rutgers University freshman who prosecutors said used a webcam to spy on his roommate’s same-sex encounter was charged Wednesday with a hate crime and accused of deleting tweets and texts to cover up his tracks.

HRC Campaign to Inform Clients, Recruits that King & Spalding Defends Discrimination
The Human Rights Campaign (HRC), America’s largest civil rights organisation dedicated to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) equality, yesterday announced a campaign to educate clients and potential recruits about King & Spalding’s decision to voluntarily take up the legal defence of the so-called Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) on behalf of Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Senate Bill 1188 Puts Discrimination Ahead of Children in the Adoption Process
The Human Rights Campaign (HRC), America’s largest civil rights organisation dedicated to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) equality, condemned Arizona Governor Jan Brewer and the Republican leadership in the state legislature for passing and signing into law SB 1188, which gives preference to married couples in the adoption process – at the exclusion of same-sex couples and single adults who wish to provide a loving home to children. The bill applies to public and private adoption agencies.

PDA plans California healthcare not warfare tour
