Northern Ireland’s health minister has been accused of “irrational prejudice” over his refusal to lift the ban on gay men giving blood in the province.
Democratic Unionist minister Edwin Poots has told the Stormont assembly that the current position in Northern Ireland “should not be altered”, even though the ban on gay and bisexual men donating blood has been lifted in the rest of the UK, Guardian reports.
