Their forthcoming debut album, Hollywood Under the Knife, is a work both musically and visually arresting, featuring nine delicious, darkly throbbing pop songs sheathed in as many never-before-seen photographs by Turner Prize winning artist Wolfgang Tillmans.
Hollywood Under the Knife will be released on Disco Activisto Records on October 17. A teaser EP, Rainy Days And Remixes, featuring the first single, “Rainy Days And Saturdays,” plus remixes of four songs from the album, will be release on September 19. For The Opiates, these remixes by Hercules And Love Affair’s Kim Ann Foxman, as well as all-time heroes Chris and Cosey of Throbbing Gristle, are a dream come true.
