One Louth couple watching the push to legalise same-sex marriage with added interest is Barry Gardiner and Anthony Kinahan.
The Drogheda pair were joined in a civil partnership in Belfast in 2007, but like thousands of gay and lesbian couples around the country want to be able to marry and receive the same legal rights as heterosexual couples.
‘This is all about equality,’ said Anthony, who began dating Barry almost 14 years ago, The Argus reports.
