Jared Jones and House Music Legend Phillip Ramirez start off 2013 with a band as their new inspirational single “Happy Day” is released to digital music stores!

Jared Jones

The classic vocal styling of Phillip Ramirez is showcased against a modern house beat provided by the production skills of Jared Jones.

The release has something for everyone, and includes remixes by Matt Moss, Wayne Numan, Eric Tenalio, DJ Scorpio & Coqui.

Ramirez says: “I have to say that it has been an ultimate pleasure to work with Jared. He is meticulous and insightful to today’s current vibe, and is a force to be reckoned with.”

Drawing from inspiration he felt upon hearing the groove that Jones produced, Ramirez began to write the lyrics that would become “Happy Day.” He says: “I was inspired to write “Happy Day” as a way of paying homage to a new beginning – not only to a new year – but in my hopes that we as people can realize our beauty, value and worth…”

“Happy Day” is the first original material that Jones and Ramirez have produced together, however the track was put together by the wonders of technology. Phillip wrote and recorded the song in his home studio many miles and hours away, while Jared worked on his parts in Richmond, VA.

“I started the idea for this song as a tribute to my late friend, Bobby McCloskey. He always loved a good gospel house track, or as we called them ‘Jesus Jams’” Jones remarked.

“Happy Day” is currently available worldwide on iTunes, Amazon.co.uk and other fine digital music stores.
