New Book Explores High Cost Paid by Closeted Homosexuals
Julian Black’s “A Secret Gay Passion” hopes to prevent unnecessary pain, suffering.
At the heart of Julian Black’s new erotic short story “A Secret Gay Passion: A Short Gay Erotic Love Story” (published by AuthorHouse) is the proverb “Through wisdom, comes great joy.” His book is the story of two young gay lovers trying to deal with the issues of their sexuality.
“A Secret Gay Passion” is the story of Nicky, a closet homosexual who is petrified to come out as gay to those closest to him, and Richard, an openly gay man who instantly falls in love with Nicky and becomes his savior and soul mate.
Black’s narrative is built heavily around the high cost, both physical and emotional, paid by homosexuals who fear to openly display their sexuality because of social stigmas. It is that cost, which sickens Black, that he hopes his book will address. If his book is able to positively affect the life of even one reader, he will consider it a victory.
“A Secret Gay Passion” has already received several favorable reviews, excerpted below:
“His family would not accept his sexual orientation so he lives in fear of the truth being revealed.” – Clarion Reviews
“…readers will find that this story does offer an opportunity to experience one young man’s painful journey.” – Clarion Reviews
“A young man comes out to an unsympathetic world in this debut novel coached in erotica.” – Kirkus Reviews
