The day after the International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced it had received assurances from “the highest level of government in Russia” that foreigners visiting the country for the 2014 Olympics would be exempt from a newly-passed law prohibiting “homosexual propaganda,” the co-sponsor of the bill told reporters the law will remain enforced during the Sochi Games.

Today the bipartisan campaign Americans for Workplace Opportunity announced it had formed in order to take advantage of a historic opportunity to pass the Employment Non-Discrimination Act 19 years after its first introduction – a bill to ban workplace discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity.
