The World Bank on Thursday said it postponed a $90 million loan to Uganda’s health system over a law that toughened punishment for gays, an unusual move for an institution that usually avoids wading into politics.
Lance Bass is joining the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), the Americas’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) civil rights organization, in speaking out against Mississippi’s SB 2681, a bill that would essentially give businesses license to discriminate against LGBT customers.

Today the European Parliament voted its annual report on fundamental rights in the European Union. The report includes an extensive overview of the situation for LGBT people, and recommendations to reach European equality standards laid down in the Charter of Fundamental Rights.
