The church and charitable organisation ( Salvation Army ) has more than 1.1 million members worldwide but a leaked letter shows their LGBT stance may be in question.

The Salvation Army has been slammed over a letter seeming to discriminate against same-sex couples – banning members from joining them in a marriage ceremony.

Leaked internal Salvation Army documents reportedly address ‘LGBT issues’, claim that marriage can only happen “between one man and one woman”.

It’s also allegedly shown to deny gay members the pursuit of a sexually active lifestyle.

The document, which was published by Queerty, was written on February 21, 2014 by Commissioner Paul Seiler, who works in the church in America’s Midwest, mirror.co.uk reports.
