15 year old in NI wants to know why his parents can’t get married
Darragh Tibbs (15), of County Down, uploaded this video to YouTube addressing the issue. He explains that he and his brother are children of same-sex family and wonder why their parents and his family can’t get the same secure family set-up and legal protection as other families.
Noting the Northern Ireland Assembly’s Code of Conduct highlights accountability, Darragh added in the video: “I hardly think hiding away from a 15 year old who just wants to be why is being an accountable figure.”
I’m amazed, a 15 year old boy, talking like never have done anything else – no one better could have done it so good! Making Gordon Dunne and all others that has voted against Marriage Equality in Northern Ireland accountable for their actions and remind them that Northern Ireland Assembly’s Code of Conduct says that MLA’s should promote equality not the opposite. Gordon Dunne – you should answer this 15 year old – I know it would be very hard for you to explain your position, he is putting you on the spot, but that you can blame your self for – but there are no shame in turning around…
Darragh Tibbs your are an inspiration for everyone!
