Last weekend opened the most comprehensive Tom of Finland exhibition that has ever been assembled in Finland. On Sunday, it was to celebrate Mother's Day as well as Touko Laaksonen's birthday.

Last weekend opened the largest exhibition of pictures of Touko Laaksonen,  Tom of Finland, as ever presented in his native country Finland. It’s Stefan Kalmar exhibition last year appeared at Artist Space in New York, that is an adapted version supplemented with Laaksonens youth pictures, QX.se reports.

When the exhibition is now coming to Finland with close to 200 works, it occurs at a time when Finland is preparing for its 100th anniversary next year, a 100-year celebration where even Tom of Finland will be included by Dome Karukoskis film with Pekka Strang starring .

The exhibition runs until August 7 and in connection with Euro Games and the Helsinki Pride will be special tours and seminars on Tom of Finland to be held at the art gallery (Helsingfors Konsthall), QX.se reports.
