Shooting at Orlando gay nightclub – multiple killed and injuried

Gunfire erupted at a nightclub in Orlando early Sunday, with multiple injuries reported, Florida authorities said, CNN reports.

NBC News reports, the incident at Pulse Nightclub appears to have taken place at around 2 a.m. ET Sunday. NBC affiliate WESH reported that a crisis negotiator was at the scene.

Pulse Shooting: The shooter inside the club is dead, the Orlando Police reports.

Approximately 20 people are dead inside Pulse nightclub, Orlando Police Chief John Mina said Sunday morning, just hours after a shooter opened fire in the club. At least 42 people have been transported for medical treatment, he said, CNN reports.

Police have shot and killed the gunman, Mina told reporters.
