Finland’s Evangelical Lutheran Church says it will only officiate at marriages for heterosexual couples.

Finland’s Evangelical Lutheran Church says it will only officiate at marriages for heterosexual couples.

Bishops meeting at the church’s annual synod in Joensuu, eastern Finland, decided on Wednesday that although gay marriage law will take effect in about six months, they will not sanctify same-sex marriages.
