The Philippines, which has recently been ranked as one of the most gay-friendly nations in the world, is about to get some “spiritual” intervention from the nation’s Catholic leadership.

Homophobia

The Catholic Church in the Philippines, which was about to reaffirm its stand against same-sex union, dubbed same-sex attraction among homosexual individuals as “human weakness.”

The religion’s hierarchical organisation, the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines, has recently announced that it “will be forming a ministry in each diocese that would tackle the issue of same-sex attraction,” the Philippine Daily Inquirer reports.
