A 13-year-old boy tragically took his own life after being bullied about his sexuality, according to his mother.
Amanda Unsworth said her son Tyrone had been taunted for years about being gay before taking his life on Monday.
His devastated mother told the Courier Mail that the north Brisbane year 7 student had been picked on constantly before his death.
“Tyrone ended up being gay and a lot of people started picking on him,” Ms Unsworth said.
“He was a really feminine male, he loved fashion, he loved make-up and the boys always picked on him, calling him gay-boy, faggot, fairy; it was a constant thing from Year 5.”
