SKAM : Love Hurts

Last week SKAM ended with Isak tears rolling down his cheeks and at last we can tell you more about the love between Isak and Even.

This article includes spoilers so you are warned.

SKAM // Season 3 // Episode 9

While Isak was hurting and thinks that Even has played with his feelings, Isak got a text reply from his mum as response that he came out by text last week to her.

To Isak, my son : Since the first second I laid eyes on you June 21st 1999 at 21.21 have I been loving you and that will I do forever.

And again we see Isak tears rolling down his cheek, even I can feel my tears rolling down my checks – this text came at the right time for Isak – so beautiful.

It’s clear that Even is bipolar and he is talking with his friends Jonas and Mags about that Even is bipolar.

Mags says my mum is bipolar.

Do you have a crazy mum Isak says ?

Mags replies, she is not crazy – she is bipolar.

But how is she ?

She is very cool.

You met her right ?

Yes… but she is normal says Isak.

Yes, she is normal. She has periods when she is down and very high.

Who are you talking about says Mags.

Even. He is bipolar.

He went out naked in the middle of the night.

Mags laughing. Seriously ? Cool.

That is not funny says Isak.

It’s comical Mags respond.

My mum was very angry at NSB (railways in Norway) once. So she found out who was region director and sent his resignation : “I give up. I can’t work anymore”.

Where is Even now ? home surely. Not physically, but in the head. Is he high or down.

I haven’t talked to him says Isak. Why not says Mags ?

Everything from his side has been bullshit. What do you mean ask Mags ? He has been manic says Isak.

He hasn’t been manic all the time Mags responds. When my mum is manic, I can’t get any contact with her. You have lot of contact with Even.

Yes, but Sonja said he has been manic all the time. Who is Sonja says Mags ? His ex Isak responds.

So you trust his ex saying that he has no feelings for you ? Very smart Isak says Mags. It’s the best I’ve heard today. Wow ! What about asking Even what his feelings are ? He is not braindead – because he had a manic episode. Talk to him when he has calmed down Mags concludes.

Isak meets his parents at church concert and he receives a text from Even.

Dear Isak, I’m sitting were we met the first time and thinking of you. Soon is the time 21.21. I want to say a thousand things to you. I’m sorry that I frightened you. I’m sorry that I hurt you. I’m sorry I didn’t tell you that I was bipolar . I was afraid to loose you. I had forgotten that you can’t loose someone, since all humans are alone anyways. One place in the universe we are together in infinite time. Love you. Even.

While at the church concert a male singer singing O Holy Night (O helga natt) in Swedish, while Isak looks at the text message again and thinking of happiest times with Even and are running out of the church towards the the bench where he met Even for the first time….

Even is not there…. the moment are saved by Even coming out of the school building and they stop and look at each other – then they meets and cheek to cheek touching and Isak says : You are not alone! They are kissing and then a hug of love.

That was the end of episode 9… and NRK today confirmed that Season 4 of SKAM will arrive next spring.
