Manchester United are under pressure to clamp down on their own supporters after their partner charity Stonewall stated that clubs must 'take the reporting of LGBT abuse seriously.'

It follows a complaint that homophobic chants were sung by Manchester United‘s fans during the recent FA Cup clash with Chelsea.

Police confirmed on Tuesday that they have investigated Manchester United fans after supporters sang the alleged homophobic chantChelsea Rent Boys” during the team’s clash in the FA Cup on March 13.
