Stabæk Plays Football With Pride

Norwegian football club Stabæk arranges for the second year in a row Football Pride together with the FRI the Norwegian Association for Gender and Sexual Diversity.

New of this year is that Stabæk will play in specially prepared rainbow-shirts in the home games against Kristiansund on 25 June and Lillestrøm on 27 June.

The rainbow-shirts are already on sale via the Macron Store in a limited edition. You can choose whether you want the Stabæk logo printed on the rainbow-shirt or not.

It is important that the big football clubs in Norway go ahead and show that we support all types of sexual orientations. We want an open environment within the football community and we want to work for that, “says Ingvild Isaksen to Stabak.no.

Captain Morten Skjønsberg agrees :

“It’s important that we go ahead with a good example not only one the stands, but also in the wardrobes and in all football teams in Norway. This should be an arena for absolutely everyone – no matter who you love.

We are cheering for Stabæk’s stands for homophobia free football. Every major football club out there should follow Stabæk’s example.
