Politicians in Alderney have voted to legalise same-sex marriage.
The change was approved during a vote at last night’s States meeting, where nine voted in favour of the proposal, while one member abstained (Ian Tugby).
Alderney is the northernmost of the inhabited Channel Islands. It is part of the Bailiwick of Guernsey, a British Crown dependency. It is 3 miles long and 1 ¹⁄₂ miles wide. Wikipedia
