Cher has apologised for upsetting her lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (LGBTQ) fans by posing for a picture with Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull.

The Believe hitmaker met the Australian leader at the 40th annual Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras parade in Sydney over the weekend (03 – 04Mar 2018) and he posted a picture of the pair on his Twitter page.

However, after he uploaded the picture, many of Cher‘s fans took to social media to educate the singer, insisting that despite gay marriage recently becoming legal in the country, Prime Minister Turnbull is not a friend of the LGBTQ community.
