Australian alt-pop group Cub Sport release the video for “Crush”. “Crush” is taken from the band’s sophomore album, BATS. Filmed in Joshua Tree, CA (USA) with director Brittney Scott, Cub Sport’s stunning new video is a textural, intimate exploration into the track's personal origins.

Cub Sport - Crush

Tim Nelson of Cub Sport told Billboard, “In July 2016 on the final night of a two month world tour, Bolan (Netterfield) and I finally admitted to each other that we were in love. It was a conversation we’d avoided having for about 8 years as we both struggled to come to terms with our true identities. “Crush” is about the night that completely changed the course of our lives and the enormous wave of emotions it brought on; happiness, relief, an instant regret for not saying something sooner and guilt that my struggles to embrace my true self had left Bolan hanging in limbo.”

Crush” is among a collection of deeply personal songs from Cub Sport’s sophomore album, BATS, which chronicles lead singer Tim Nelson’s journey of coming out as gay and admitting his love for fellow band member, Sam Bolan. The two are now happily engaged and plan to marry in August.
