Lys Assia started her career as a dancer but soon turned to singing and is mostly remembered for winning the very first Eurovision Song Contest, held in Lugano (Switzerland), in her own country, in 1956.

On behalf of the entire MySoCalledGayLife.co.uk family we would like to pay our sincere condolences to Lys Assia´s loved ones. She will be missed!
