Pop visionary Lauv releases his highly anticipated 21-track debut album ~how i’m feeling~.

The album features previously released hit singles «i’m so tired…» with Troye Sivan and «fuck, i’m lonely» with Anne-Marie, among others. The project also includes Lauv’s anthemic new single for the technology driven generation: «Modern Loneliness». The power ballad is both a statement and a commentary on our current society, where we are increasingly «alone together». The song already has over 15 million streams in only two weeks, has reached #48 at Top 40 radio and rising, after being the most added song the first week of impact, including early adds from both Z100 and KIIS. Full album tracklisting below. Lauv is set for an appearance on Good Morning America on Thursday, March 12th.

Lauv said on his debut album release, «I can’t believe this day has come. ~how i’m feeling~ began from dark time in my life when I was depressed and having a bit of an existential crisis. I wasn’t sure if I would ever actually be able to make an album. But it marks my journey from my rock bottom at the beginning of 2019 to a stable place of happiness, full self-expression and self-acceptance. This album is everything to me and I hope the world loves it as much as I loved making it».

The album features 11 unreleased tracks, including a few highly anticipated collaborations. Lauv paired up with the biggest group in the world, K-Pop sensations BTS for track “Who.” He also collaborated with Alessia Cara on «Canada» and on «El Tejano», with Sofia Reyes.  Speaking about the collaborations, Lauv said, «With everybody I’ve worked with…Each situation shows me something new about the process of creation and how different artists work». And on his song with BTS specifically, he added, «It was a fucking dream! I met them at their show at Wembley Stadium and we got a chance to talk. They had a playlist of a bunch of my songs. So we were mutual fans, and I played them a song they really loved. The process was actually super-easy, especially for a group that’s so massive musically and culturally».

Lauv has quietly and steadily become one of pop’s brightest rising stars. The artist has released all of his music completely independently with billions of streams to his name, while writing for some of the biggest stars in the world and simultaneously selling out shows all over the world as a headliner. And he had done all of this without releasing an album.

Accepting and celebrating the multiple facets of ourselves is a theme throughout Lauv’s debut album ~how i’m feeling~. The artist has been open about his own struggles with anxiety and depression and has taken action on the issue with his Blue Boy Foundation, which supports programs that help young people feel more comfortable reaching out for help with mental health. In 2019, he launched the «My Blue Thoughts» initiative, a community building mechanism for fans to anonymously write down or record whatever is on their mind, as a way to engage with people around the world who may be having similar experiences.

In addition to his new album, Lauv recently announced dates for his upcoming ~how i’m feeling world tour~ world tour. Encompassing 65+ dates, the outing will mark the largest U.S. shows of Lauv’s career and will hit iconic venues in the US such as Radio City Music Hall in New York, NY, Red Rocks Amphitheater in Denver, CO and two nights at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles, CA.
