Police said the man was walking with a 27-year-old woman to the ferry docks around 11:30 p.m. when they became involved in a disagreement with another group of people.

A man from the second group made homophobic comments towards the victims, then two men assaulted the 24-year-old man by punching and kicking him, leaving him with «significant» injuries, police said, thestar.com reports.
