Homophobia from UEFA : Bans rainbow ads at two Euro 2020 quarter-finals
Euro 2020 organiser Uefa has banned advertising using the LGBTQ rainbow colours at the quarter-final matches in Russia and Azerbaijan, citing local laws.
It comes after they refused to allow a Munich stadium to be lit up in rainbow colours for the Germany v Hungary match earlier in the tournament, BBC reports.
The move has prompted condemnation.
«UEFA’s audacity and deceit are boundless», Germany’s gay and lesbian association told AFP news agency.
Once again UEFA are homophobic, they have just lost any credibility in the fight of homophobia i football! UEFA are complicit with the views they are eagerly defending! UEFA are truly homophobic to the bone of the organisation, history will not view this kindly – UEFA are on the wrong side of history!
No wonder there is a problem ending homophobia in football, with a homophobic leadership «leading» UEFA !
