This year’s dog tag 2022 is designed by Tone Sekelius. The dog tag are created inspired by this year’s theme «Time to confess colour».
Tone Sekelius recently became historic as the first trans person in the Melodifestivalen. Already in 2017, Tone did this year’s song «One more in the crowd» for Stockholm Pride. Today, Transgender Day of Visibility, Stockholm Pride is incredibly happy to present Tone as this year designer.
«I feel so happy and honoured to be able to design this year’s dog tag. To profess colour is for me to one hundred percent own oneself and live the life one wants and deserves – to show one’s true colours. This is one of the most important things we can do in this life, and I hope to be able to capture it with this year’s dog tag!», Says Tone Sekelius to MySoCalledGayLife.co.uk, designer of this year’s dog tag 2022.
The dog tag is an accessory that is designed annually by an LGBTQ + profile exclusively for Stockholm Pride and for the current year. The first 6,000 with a festival ticket receive a dog tag, as do all the festival’s volunteers. Many festival visitors have collected them since Stockholm Pride started in 1998.
Stockholm Pride invites later this year to a release event where the dog tag will be presented, but already now it is possible to buy a weekly ticket to the festival, or register as a volunteer, to be guaranteed an exclusive copy. Anyone who also hopes to dance in Pride Park to the hit song «My way» will not have to be disappointed, says Tone Sekelius.
