Introducing «It’s just Cat», an up-and-coming Dublin based artist releasing her new single, «Not a Vibe».

Bursting with confidence, «Not a Vibe» is an impressive introduction to this exciting new artist – Bold, bright electro pop with a killer chorus and inspired by the likes of Ariana Grande and Remi Wolf. Accompanying the single is the official video shot in Clontarf, Dublin. Filmed and directed by Louis Maxwell at Grace Park Productions with an all-star queer cast featuring «It’s just Cat» and some of the darling Drag Queens of Dublin Shaqira Knightly, Annie Queeries & Donna Fella

«’Not a Vibe’ is a reflection of my personal experience of the music industry. It’s a clap-back at people who have attempted to copy me while telling me I’m not good enough. The chorus celebrates the freedom I feel by cutting out people who bring bad vibes and the positive energy of the track represents my everlasting confidence that I’m happier than ever when I’m doing music. A feeling that is all my own and completely untouchable», says «It’s just Cat» to me.

A music graduate of BIMM Dublin, it’s just Cat is pursuing her music career by moving around the UK and Ireland, working with a number of well-known writers in tandem with perfecting her live sound which included her first outdoor festival appearance when she stole the show at The Mother Summer Block Party in Dublin in September, 2021 and is due to support the UK band, Crawlers in The Academy, Dublin in April, 2022.

«Not a Vibe» will be  «It’s just Cat» ’s fourth release. Previous tracks «Ache», «baby, blue» and «slipping» were featured on influential Spotify playlists such as Fresh Finds UK, Out Now, An Alternative Future & Rainbow in tandem with coverage on assorted UK and Irish blogs and radio.

«It’s just Cat» is dedicated to cultivating a musical space where individuals have the freedom to express themselves however they want, while keeping her sound stamped with individuality and creating a style of her own.
