Swedish uprising popstar Hugo Andersson charms his way into my playlist !
The artist and songwriter Hugo Andersson releases his seventh song «Happy Ever After» on Spotify and Apple Music in collaboration with Corite. «Happy Ever After» is a modern popsong that sums up how a modern hit should sound like in 2022.
«Happy Ever After» is about a broken relationship and that specific moment you realise that it isn’t going to be the two of you anymore. The happiness you see in the movies doesn’t apply to everyone, and that the movies manuscript wasn’t written for real life, says Hugo Andersson when he talks about his new song.
The song is written by Hugo Andersson in collaboration with Erich Eli and Niko Lindhé at Musikmakarna. Hugo Andersson’s career has started strong and the curve for his streams is rising. After two years at the esteemed songwriting school Musikmakarna located in Örnsköldsvik, Hugo Andersson has released several singles that has gotten hundreds of thousands of streams.
Hugo is 22 years old and since a year back based in Stockholm where he writes songs for himself and other artists, and hold concerts. This year Hugo has his mind set on a year with many releases. Hugo grew up in Borås close to Gothenburg, having music in his heart and his home made music studio in the basement.
I walked the classic and educational road with starting up band in school, shitty rehearsal venues, touring small venues in different cities. All of that eventually led to me being given the opportunity to be the opening for Gavin James at Pustervik 2019, says Hugo Andersson to me.
Hugo Andersson adds, my huge interest in music eventually had me change Borås for Stockholm, but I’m very grateful to have been growing up in a Swedish small town, as I had the opportunity to create and learn in a safe environment.
I took a listen to «Happy Ever After», it was 110 % pop-song and it easily wormed and charmed it self into my music heart and it’s apparently moved in for good. This is how pop music should sound like! Hugo has today been added to my playlist on Spotify – you can check it our here.
I recommend to check our his previous releases too :
