Two people have been confirmed killed after a shooting incident outside the London pub and Per på Hjørnet in central Oslo. A person has been arrested near the scene shortly after the incident.
A number of shots were fired in a short time. Witnesses say people ran from the area in panic. The place is popular among the gay community in Oslo, Norwegian paper VG reports.
Tore Barstad, head of operations in the police, says that they were notified of the incident at 01.14 (local Norwegian time), and that five minutes later, at 01.19, they arrested the perpetrator VG reports.

Civilians helped the police The police received help from civilians to get control of the perpetrator. This was stated by task leader Tore Barstad during a press release at 04.30 this morning local time NRK reports.
The Norwegian police are immensely grateful for that, says Barstad. Several civilians also provided life-saving first aid.
