A gay military couple from Ukraine who got engaged just a few days ago is being torn apart, leaving them to face the agony and fear of combat alone
Following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine last year, the young gay couple started dating.
They revealed to Insider that they met through a dating app, according to translator Maxim Potapovych. That is fairly typical for many contemporary couples, and initially, Pasha and Vladyslav‘s relationship appears to be no different from others.
On Instagram, they post images of themselves taking selfies while cooking and hugging. They have celebrated birthdays and anniversaries throughout the past year. Pasha turned 21 only a few weeks after Vladyslav turned 30 in September of last year. He posted on Instagram, «You’re already 21 years old, what can I say? So as not to be dead by 22».
It’s difficult to ignore the brutal facts of their existence in a nation ravaged by conflict, businessinsider.com writes.
