After seeing Barbie movie, a man experienced homophobic harassment and wants Bridgnorth’s malfunctioning street lights fixed
A man from Bridgnorth who experienced homophobic abuse after a night at the movies claimed that the town's subpar street lighting makes him feel unsafe at night.
The market town native Huw Rees, who had dressed in pink for the occasion, went to the Majestic theatre in Whitburn Street on Saturday night with several pals to see the recently released Barbie.
The 24-year-old content creator stated: «I was fully attired in pink, as has become tradition when watching the movie. Unfortunately, after I exited the theatre and made my way around the town after nightfall, I was subjected to four distinct homophobic verbal attacks by patrons of local bars, both men and women».
Additionally, a pint glass was hurled in my way; thankfully, it missed and shattered in front of me on the sidewalk, shropshirestar.com reports.
