For his 18th birthday, Sean’s father brings him to a motel and gives him a prostitute. To «fix» his dubious homosexuality, he needs to sleep with her.
«Pretty boy» is a coming-of-age narrative about Sean, a young harassed youngster who struggles with his sexuality and the difficulties of high school. When his father discovers some questionable magazines in his son’s room, he will go to any length to convince his son to see the light and ‘act’ the way a man should. Sean meets Katie, a prostitute who understands modern society’s stigmas and helps him realise the true light within him.
«Pretty boy» is intended to motivate our youth to follow their hearts and find their true family if «…the family they were born into isn’t the family they’re meant to be with».
