In a long-running new plotline starring John Paul McQueen, Hollyoaks will investigate the perils of conversion therapy.
Producers have now stated that Hollyoaks High teacher Carter Shepherd is interested in John Paul because he wants to recruit him into a’support group’ advocating ‘conversion’ for LGBTQ+ persons, digitalspy.com reports.
The plot will eventually include Hollyoaks High pupils Dillon Ray and Ste Hay’s son Lucas Hay. Ste has prior experience having been groomed by a radical gang.
