Jason Mraz has openly discussed his bisexuality and attributes his self-discovery to his past relationship with his ex-wife.

The singer-songwriter, who won a Grammy Award, publicly revealed his LGBTQ+ identity in 2018 while he was married to Christina Carano. In 2023, he was included in the Out100 list, which recognises influential LGBTQ+ figures. Despite divorcing Carano in June 2023 after eight years of marriage, he acknowledges her support as he explored his sexuality. He also states that their divorce prompted him to discover his true self independently.

I want to repair as many past relationships as I can. At the same time, it’s difficult to embrace this new acceptance and identity that I’m asserting. Being on the Out100 list feels good to be recognised, miamiherald.com reports.
