Canadian Education department prohibits homophobic teachings in schools.

A letter purportedly from a group of parents is raising concerns about a textbook containing homophobic content used at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Secondary School in Whitehorse, Canada.

Signed by «concerned parents of St. Francis students», the letter indicates that parents have tried to address the issue with the school without success. Mailed to various community organisations, including CBC Yukon, it highlights ongoing concerns about prejudice at the school over multiple years.

«This is not Catholicism. This is hate», the letter states. «Our children are not disordered. They should feel secure in their classrooms», cbc.ca reports.
