Family Equality Council today denounced a federal bill introduced last week in Congress that would permit providers of adoption and foster care services to refuse to work with families with whom they have personal, religious, or moral objections. The legislation is spearheaded by anti-LGBT groups the Family Research Council and the Heritage Foundation, and threatens to undo the progress made on behalf of LGBTQ families over the last several years and harm some of our most vulnerable children.
