The Executive Board at RainbowYOUTH announced today the appointment of Frances Arns as the new Executive Director of RainbowYOUTH. She will replace outgoing Executive Director Duncan Matthews who leaves the role after four years.

RainbowYOUTH today announced the launch of Inside Out, the first ever curriculum-aligned resource in New Zealand created by Kiwis at a national scale. Inside Out’s aim: to help increase understanding and support of sex, gender and sexuality diversity within year 7-13 classrooms around the country.

In 1989, a group of young people in Auckland got together to form a support group for LGBTIQ youth. They called it Auckland Lesbian And Gay Youth (ALGY). After 25 years, several location changes, a name change, a brand reboot and a lot of hard work and dedication, this group has emerged as RainbowYOUTH - one of the largest youth-run, youth-led charitable organisations in New Zealand.
