Singer and songwriter Maksim Reimer exclusively produced a Pride anthem – „Original Self (Enough is Enough)“ – for Enough is Enough! Open Your Mouth ! which was released June 22, 2018.
The song is also available for streaming and download. Maksim Reimer will donate most of the proceeds to «Enough is Enough!», Germany’s biggest LGBTIQ network for activists. The initiative also produces the most widely spread LGBTIQ newsfeed in Germany.
A comment from Maksim: «I’m proud of the results of our cooperation. «Original Self (Enough is Enough)» is supposed to remind people that there is nothing more beautiful than being themselves. This does not only include LGBTIQ people, but each and every person. No one’s supposed to wait for love».
Max Honsinger, who co-produced «Original Self (Enough is Enough)», has worked with the British Indie-Rock band «Bastille» and also with the British Electropop band «Years & Years».
Strong partners – literally – supported the production for the music video for «Original Self (Enough is Enough)»: Berlin’s queer Rugby Team, the Berlin Bruisers, and Maksim Reimer portray a moving love story between two queer guys.
Leighton Cheal (Berlin Bruisers): «The Berlin Bruisers support «Enough is Enough!» from the beginning. We’re Germany’s first queer Rugby team and we think that there’s no place for discrimination and stigmatisation in sports. That’s why it’s our goal, not only to be fantastic on the field, but also stand up for inequality whenever we can.
The video for «Original Self (Enough is Enough)» was a great opportunity for that and in addition, we’ve had a lot of fun. Because it’s only when people can interact and flirt with anyone they want, then they’re truly free».

The indoor shots were produced at Delphi-Filmpalast in Berlin (Yorck-Kinogruppe). Two creative supporters of «Enough is Enough!», Marina Breitbach and Björn Helge Jochum was ask to edited the music video, they immediately said yes. It was a lot of fun for the both of us and we’re highly impressed by the initiative’s work.
